These are the next iteration of the famous Xiaomi Piston 3. With the
Piston brand being discontinued the new Hybrid range has begun featuring
dual drivers, usually only found in IEMs that retail for over $200.
Description:
The
Hybrid name comes from special configuration of speaker inside, which
provides a dynamic driver and second dual balanced armature driver. The
new Mi Earphones adopt hybrid technology which combines one dynamic
driver with two-way balanced-armature (BA) drivers. Their relative
position to each other in the housing allows the smallest three-way
in-earphones to be developed, offering a true reference-quality sound.
The balanced-armature handles the high frequency audio while dynamic
driver will handle the low frequency audio, thus providing a more 3D
surround effect.
The microphone has high SNR 58dB, this give
better noise cancellation which improves call quality. You do not need
to place the microphone near your mouth and speak to it loudly anymore.
This earphone is made up from Kevlar, a synthetic fibre of
high tensile strength used especially as a reinforcing agent in the
manufacture of tires and other rubber products and protective gear such
as helmets and vests.
